The U.S. Customs Service National Training and Evaluation Pilot Project
PTG was competitively selected to develop, test and pilot-implement the National Training and Evaluation System (NTEP), a multi-level training evaluation, analysis and reporting system for the U.S. Customs Service.

This project, similar in scope and content to the IRS ITEMS project, involves setting up a complete Training Evaluation and Reporting System for the U.S. Customs Service. The system will enable Customs Education Staff personnel to input training evaluation forms from anywhere that the Customs Service conducts training. Customs Academies around the country are able to "mix and match" class evaluations to create "Virtual Courses", composed of classes from different course categories, and evaluate these virtual courses over time, and to rank classes taught at their facility so as to be able to determine areas for improvement or management attention,

Visually-impaired personnel will be able to access the system to receive and respond to Post-training surveys using a complete voice response system, including the ability to input subjective voice comments and have these comments attached to the telephone data input file.
