Improving Training Outcomes

Achieving training excellence requires a partnership among the entities
involved in creating, delivering and assessing the results of training.
All should assist in accessing, analyzing and acting upon training evaluation
data, regardless of level. This is part of an ongoing effort to discern
trends and improve training design, development and delivery. It is important
that strengths be recognized and replicated. Similarly, weaknesses should
be analyzed to further identify the root causes of problems occurring
in training so that corrective actions can lead to permanent improvements
such as:
- Improving trainee achievement
- Improving course development and instructor delivery quality
- Improving the effectiveness of course management systems
- Supporting the organization's ability to adapt to changing demands
and business requirements
- Incorporating the values of the organization in the training delivered
