SBA 8(a) Certified: Disadvantaged Small Business
PTG is a Maryland based disadvantaged (minority-owned) small business and is a U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) Certified 8(a) company. The federal government’s goal is to award at least five percent of all federal contracting dollars to small disadvantaged businesses each year.
As a disadvantaged business in the 8(a) Program, PTG can:
- Be directly awarded sole-source contracts without a competitive bidding process (up to $4 million for sole-source awards)
- Compete for set-aside contracts in the program
- Compete for contracts under multiple socio-economic programs
- Form joint ventures with established businesses through the SBA’s mentor-protégé program
PTG is a certified small business under all NAICS codes.
